ASAP - Wild 5 Charity Challenge handover

The time has come for us to end the #Wild5CharityChallenge. As sad as we are to see it end, we are also overwhelmed with joy. Now we get to do the hand over to The Khula Community Creche – our deserving beneficiary.

The initiative was created by Wild 5 Adventures to raise funds and awareness for a crèche just inland from Port Shepstone. Feeding, teaching and minding 120 children between the ages of 2 and 5.  The goal was to challenge media personalities to do the Jump (Wild Swing) and for every person who took part, Wild 5 Adventures would donate R200 to the Khula Crèche Project.

“Thank you so much for all the trouble you have taken to help Khula’s funding.  We are deeply grateful for the donation and all the effort that went into the matter” – Greg Velleman, Operations Manager at the Khula Community Centre.

The initiative was an amazing success and achieved the goal we had set of raising funds. More importantly, awareness for The Khula Community Crèche. Each media personality who took part in the challenge featured their experience in the publications, which drove awareness of the Khula Crèche Project.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every person who participated in the challenge. Without your support and exposure none of this would have been possible.

A special thanks must be said to the team at MixFm who included Fefe Madileng, Innocent Makoni, Kudzayi Tiribabi, Michael Catterson and Roxy Blows. Shona Aylward from the South Coast Herald, Siphele Nkete from East Griqualand Fever and Vusi Mthlane from the South Coast Fever.

We are pleased to announce that through this amazing initiative we were able to raise R2000 which will be handed over in the next few days.
